Some "critics" and "Tops Polls" suggest this to be "The" proto metal album: WRONG. Proto metal was being heard in the mid 60's with groups like Los Saicos, not to mention The Stooges, Black Sabbath, MC5 and more. Secret Treaties' was not released until 1974 and prior to that in the early 70's look up the album "Icecross" by Icecross released 1973 or Buffalo's 1973 "Volcanic Rock" it is metal all the way. As for the album as musik by itself, its weak, uninspired, bland, unhonest and just nowhere near what musik is ART.
