Refreshing and unique heavy rock, this debut Tainted Nation release gets better with every listen. As a big fan of Edens Curse I was bummed to hear drummer Pete Newdeck departed the band but curiosity got to me learning he was lead vocalist for this new band Tainted Nation. Wow what a surprise. He may look like a pub bouncer but he's an excellent singer with a voice that isn't really like any other I can think of, which is very cool in an over saturated world of rock/metal bands. It's ever so clear how much influence he had on the harmonies in Edens Curse. Musicianship in Tainted Nation is solid though it's the vocal arrangements and tempo/time changes that give the songs their flair. Their is no song I feel inclined to skip over, each has something interesting, and several have that sing along with catchiness. For me anyway the song Haunted is one of the best songs from any band I've heard in the last couple years, heavy with great power and punch with killer vocals. Definitely looking forward to the next release in 2015.
