One of his best .. ignore bad reviews. Better than Pauls latest stuff too.
My suggestion is to look up the reviews of this album. It not only sounds great (one of Ringo's best), but has quite a few incredible reviews by reputable reviewers (Rolling Stone, NPR). Sure, not all 10 out of 10, however I have seen so many wonderful reviews ( album of the year, in some cases) that I am sold. Google the reviews and see for yourself. If you enjoy a different sounding Ringo (such as Goodnight on the White Album) buy this album. T - Bone Burnett produced, so how can Ringo go wrong. Just my opinion, of course.
Ringo always surrounds himself with great musicians, and the album is no exception. It's the songs that fall short this time. Maybe it's time to hook up with Mark Hudson again and Get Back to rock & roll. . . . Peace & Love!
I like Ringo, and he has some really good other stuff here for download that's worth downloading.....this isn't. This is just....sad...his voice sounds slurred and the compositions are just bad, really, really bad. Ringo is a really great guy - this new album isn't. Imagine a bad band all zonked out on massive doses of Thorazine and this comes pretty close.
Sorry Ringo, but you just need to ride out into the sunset. It's time to hang up your spurs, put away your cowboy hat, sell your drums, and retire! This album sucks!
