So “anonymous” gives this collection a one-star review because he’s sure “We own these songs many times over already.” He sounds like an ex-member of the Kiss Army who’s still b-hurt because Ace and Peter aren’t in the group.

Yes, there are several KISS “best of” collections to choose from. It’s impossible to create a single-album collection that truly encompasses EVERY era of the band’s 45-year career, but “Kissworld: The Best Of Kiss” manages to cover a remarkably broad range over the course of 20 songs.

There are bona fide hits like “Beth,” “I Was Made For Lovin’ You,” and the studio version of “Rock And Roll All Nite,” as well as the audio versions of MTV video hits like “Heaven’s On Fire,” “Tears Are Falling,” “Lick It Up,” “Crazy Crazy Nights” and “Unholy.”

Add fan favorites like “Detroit Rock City,” “Shout It Out Loud,” and “Calling Dr. Love,” some should-have-been hits (“Shandi”), newer tracks like “Modern Day Delilah” and “Hell Or Hallelujah,” and some deep cuts like “I’m A Legend Tonight” and the excellent “God Gave Rock ‘n’ Roll To You II,” and you have a collection that will please most casual fans.

It would also serve as an excellent introduction for teens and twenty-somethings who are just discovering the “Hottest Band in the Land.”

Again? Really? This time around; Kiss's collection of barely a handful of hits is at best a pretentious serving of boredom. We own these songs many times over already. And the ones we've never heard of (unless you're a kiss army brat) are insipid little rock tunes with laughable lyrics and recycled music.
