    I can remember my folks playing a "little known" John Gary album, (vinyl LP's) "Catch A Rising Star" at home before I was even in school, (I'm 62 years old now!) This disc is as close to the greatness of that album as you'll find, (has several of the same songs). This album also shows his artistry - PERFECTLY! I remember later on reading about the amazing breath control in his singing that he developed in the Navy as a scuba diver, it's amazing - but not as amazing as the FULL, smooth, richness of his voice! I just never could understood why this man...this voice...was never a HUGE star back then! Enjoy!!!
