I first saw John Boutte in the 2010 HBO special series "Terme" when I found it on Amazon Prime Video. I watched the pilot show and I was hooked. Not for the TVMA material in the show. It is the AWESOME MUSIC! Being a resident of the North East of the country I didn't grow up in New Orleans but I was blessed early on by the music that came out of the Cresent City. My dad liked music, he even liked some of the rock music I liked but it was the old swing music he liked. Being Italian we had the obligatory Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin records. We also had Louis Armstrong and Louie Prima. I would watch every variety show on TV and I loved the music. I loved watching the big bands etc.. Anyway when I first heard the Treme theme song I loved it. Then when I saw John Boutte perform I fell in love with his voice and his arrangements of the songs he sings. This album is more of the things I loved about that show and of course John Boutte. Enjoy!!
