MP3 is a digital audio format without digital rights management (DRM) technology. Because our MP3s have no DRM, you can play it on any device that supports MP3, even on your iPod!
KBPS stands for kilobits per second and the number of KBPS represents the audio quality of the MP3s. Here's the range of quality: 128 kbps = good, 192 kbps = great, 256 kbps = awesome and 320 kbps = perfect.

This is a very different Japan to that of Tin Drum which is only four years later. This is Japan as the glam-rock band they started as an is actually a really good rock album though totally disowned by Sylvian in later years.
They appealed very much to the art school set in 78 and I first heard this in art class - we had a teacher with a particular love of X-Ray Specs and all things slightly out on the edge; he considered this mainstream!
It's a really good album and I probably go back to this and it's disowned sibling Obscure Alternatives more often than the albums that really made Japan's name Quiet Life and Tin Drum. Worth a listen if you haven't got this far in Japan's back catalogue already.
