Tony, I wouldn't even give this album that much credit. I thought the worst part about the Underwood collaboration was that they didn't let her solo more. I totally agree that this was not worth the wait---but isn't that the case with most older bands? You expect some killer stuff, but the results are usually just lukewarm.

I thought MUSIC FROM ANOTHER DIMENSION started out solid, but I was generally disappointed after the first two tracks. STREET JESUS is an ambitious tune, but they added a stupid thudding, shouting part in the middle that ruined the tempo and detracted from the lyrics.

The more I think about it, you know what I think is missing from the album, by and large? It's missing that classic Aerosmith groove, the one that grabs you early in a song, locks you in, and then never wavers until it's done. Don't try to get cute, men. Just rock us like ya used to.

The album is good but it is a little chaotic. The duet with Carrie Underwood is a throw away in my opinion. You're Aerosmith, do a duet with Lizzy Hale. Carrie Underwood? Really? The ballads are a little weak and more than one is a bit much. I would have expected a lot better after waiting so long especially since they brought in Producer Jack Douglas who was responsible for such classics as "rocks" and "toys in the attic"
